What is Common Core curriculum? Common Core curriculum is a high expectation of educational standards that are used across the state and country. Common Core provide teachers with a set of standards in math and language arts to make sure each student has the required skills and academic knowledge to be successful upon completion of high school. Doing so, will ensure every student is equipped to pursue post secondary education or go directly into a career of their choosing.

EngageNY Math and Language Arts is a Common Core based curriculum. It's was developed to teach critical thinking, creative problem solving strategies, and to expand student's analytical skills. EngageNY curriculum provides continuous standard based learning and academic success throughout the school year.

Provides students with real-world applications through hands on project based learning. It encourages independent thinking through "trial & error to reach an ultimate goes and inspires "Big Picture Ideas".

At VDOT centers we use technology to enhance the care and education for our students and the communication with their parents. Each classroom as access to a computer or iPad that can be used to help children further research a topic or reinforce a concept they are learning
